The One Where We’re Out and About ~ Homeschool Week Wrap-Up

Happy Friday! J

This week has flown by in a frazzle. But, since we’ve been building a house, nearly every week has some level of frazzle. J

I’ve been trying to sort through the children’s clothes ~ switch out the seasonal items, get rid of some, pack up the rest for the coming move. I thought if I worked on one child per day I would be doing well.

Epic fail. L

I got the 3yo done on Monday, except I couldn’t pack away the old because I didn’t have a storage tub. I got the 5yo’s clothes spread out on the couch for sorting on Tuesday morning…and then the rest of the week imploded.

We lunched with Daddy which included a half-hour drive each way and the packing of wraps and pretzels and apples for eight people to take to the college’s cafeteria. {I forgot the camera. No photos. L} We stopped at Home Depot to talk about kitchens {no decisions made yet}, ran by the house to fetch a few items and see the progress, purchased some essentials at Wal-Mart, ate out and attended church on Wednesday and even arrived a tad early, visited the library twice, and had two more dentist appointments.

Whew! For this homeschool mama who does almost all of the school at home, that’s a lot of out-and-about in one week, especially toting six children around everywhere.

All were good or necessary activities, but guess where the 5yo’s clothes are…still? J

Is it science...or art?

At the dentist again, getting a lot done at their cute little counter.

Books at the dentist...but this only lasted a few minutes.

In my frazzled state one day, the 10yo listened to the 8yo read while he worked on penmanship.

Playing school. See the teacher at the lectern?

The student hard at work on his "assignment."

Building our house this week…

Drywall mudding. Don’t those stilts look cool?? We all want a turn!

The house is really starting to look like something inside. J

Our rainy weather these couple of days isn’t helping it dry, but we’re hoping to paint by next weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend! J

How was your week?

April's Flexi-of-the-Month... Isn't the turquoise and yellow stunning?
